I’m so late in getting this engagement session posted!  It’s fitting, though, since we had to reschedule a few times thanks to this year’s whacky spring weather in Washington, D.C.  One of those times, I even made it all the way down to the Mall, stood at our meeting place, and then frantically called Whitney & TJ to tell them not to come because it was miserable: cold, windy, slightly rainy and oh, so gray!  I predicted in that phone call that when this photoshoot finally happened, it was going to be one for the books.   I think we can all agree that it was worth the wait.  (Plus, a puppy!)

Goodness how these two make it all look so easy. I lost count the number of times I said “You guys are awesome!”  Marcy and Jeff wandered with me through Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C. laughing all the way.  While the weather ended up a bit on the gray and gloomy side, these two–who are most definitely, without question, totally and absolutely in love–brought all the sunshine with their fun, easy-going, casual manners.

The newly reopened East Building of the National Gallery is an incredibly popular place boasting rooms full of of masterpieces by Calder, Rothko and Serra.  It also has some of the most beautiful backdrops in the city making it one of my favorite places to photograph couples.  Caitlin and Tripp spent the afternoon with me looking absolutely gorgeous while bravely dodging tourists and photo-bombers alike.
